Our round downspouts come in three-inch and four-inch diameters, and lengths of 10 feet. You can also find other downspouts for larger gutter systems, and you can have the lengths cut to fit for installation. Larger downspouts are available in different materials and finishes. 

There are benefits when attaching round pieces together at the eaves, overhangs, brick ledges and around corners.  Both will carry the same amount of water.  While round downspouts are the preferred and recommended downspouts for half round gutters, it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Corrugated downspouts are available in rectangular and round profiles.  Round corrugated downspouts, while not as popular as plain round downspouts, can also be used for half round gutter installations.  Corrugated downspouts, with all of the extra bends, provide additional rigidity.

Larger downspouts will typically be able to remove more water in less time, making drainage more effective. The downspouts have to match your gutters, however, and you don’t want gutters that are so large that a lot of items and debris can collect and get caught up. Ultimately, you should compare the options and find the size that fits your drainage needs and your aesthetic tastes.

They also come in several sizes and styles, as well as plenty of color options so that you can match your home and create the perfect curb appeal, too. Most importantly, perhaps, aluminum downspouts are affordable and require less maintenance than other materials or styles. 

Yes, our aluminum plain round downspouts can be connected to create the desired length. Each downspout comes crimped on one end and is designed to fit inside another piece. They can also be cut to size, so if you need 25 feet of downspout, for example, you can get the exact right fit. Gutter and downspout brackets will help you connect and secure the downspouts during installation. 

Round aluminum downspouts can be fastened together with rivets or zip screws in a matching color.

This will depend largely on the volume of rain but a good rule of thumb is that a 3" downspout can handle approximately 600 square feet of roof area while a 4" downspout can handle approximately 12oo square feet of roof area.  

Typically a round downspout gets connected to the gutter by attaching it to the gutter outlet tube.  

This will vary depending on what the downspout is attaching to.  Diamond pipe bands can be used for brick and siding applications.  For a clean and finished appearance there are a number of different rack and drive assemblies that are made for wood, brick/stone applications.
